Kira y su retorcido bañador CLL40: unboxing & review

Me encantan estas pequeñajas. Adoro a Chelsea y me encantan todas las amigas de Chelsea. De las tres muñecas que componen esta línea de muñecas, la primera que me traje conmigo fue Tamika con su flotador de cangrejo. Y como suele pasar, fuera de la caja son todavía más bonitas.

A Kira la encontré en mi viaje al norte, aunque también la había visto en El Corte Inglés de aquí. Pero como aquí las han vendido enseguida creo que ya no les queda ninguna y yo no me quería quedar sin ella. 

Allí tenían 3 Kiras y cuando las vi me sentí afortunada. Una tenía el flotador con sus dos mitades mal unidas, otra tenía plástico sobrante en una de sus manos y no recuerdo cual de estas dos tenía la boca torcida. La tercera la vi bien, salvo por un pequeño mechón de pelo que parecía estar peinado hacia el lado contrario. Pero no le di importancia porque con peinarla de nuevo se lo podía solucionar en un minuto.

Como veis, le miro todos los detalles buscando posibles fallos para luego no llevarme un disgusto. Pero esta vez algo falló y ahora que ha pasado todo reviso las fotografías y veo que en realidad no se veía nada por varias razones:

- el precio tapaba la parte superior del bañador

- el flotador ocultaba la parte inferior izquierda del bañador

- el propio embalaje oculta la parte posterior de la muñeca (y del bañador)

- soy humana, mi tiempo y mi capacidad de atención son limitados

A pesar de todo, creo que no elegí mal. A las otras dos muñecas les encontré al menos un fallo muy visible a cada una y viendo que la elegida tiene un defecto oculto en su bañador ¿cómo puedo saber ahora que las otras dos no lo tenían también?

I found Kira on my trip to the North of Spain, although I had also seen her here in El Corte Inglés. But as they have sold many chelsea dolls then I think that probably now they have none here and I didn't want to be without her.

There were 3 Kira dolls and when I saw them I felt lucky. One had wrong united the halves of the float, another had an excess of plastic on one of her hands. I do not remember which of these two had twisted mouth. The third I saw well, except for a small section of hair that seemed to be combed to the opposite side. But I do not gave importance because with comb again it could be solved in a minute.

As you can see, I look details looking for faults to then not take me a disgust. But this time, something was wrong and now I review photographs and see actually not seen anything for several reasons:

- the price covered the upper part of the bathing suit

- float hiding the left bottom of the bathing suit

- the packaging hides the back of the wrist (and bathing suit)

- I am human, my time and my attention span are limited

Despite everything, I believe that I did not choose evil. Two other dolls I found them at least one very visible failure to each and seeing that my doll has a defect concealed in his bathing suit, how can I know now if the other two had it also?

En fin, que la elegí con mucho cuidado, como hago siempre. Y como podéis ver en las primeras fotos parecía estar perfecta... la sorpresa me la encontré después, al sacarla de la caja.

Pero primeramente os quiero enseñar lo bonita que es esta pequeña niña.

Well, I had chose her very carefully, as I always do. And as you can see in the first photos appeared to be perfect... I found the surprise then to remove the dollo from her box.

Kira tiene el cabello castaño claro (o rubio oscuro), la piel ligeramente rosada y los ojos de color marrón. Lleva el pelo recogido con dos coletas muy graciosas.

Kira has light brown hair (or dark blond), slightly pink skin and brown eyes. Her hair is collected with two very funny pigtails.

Va vestida con un traje de baño muy bonito. Es de color verde menta y está decorado con un estampado en morado claro y un lazo del mismo color con lunares blancos.

Como accesorio para la playa, tiene un flotador con forma de ballena en dos tonos de malva. Ah! Y sus pies son muy divertidos ¡me encantan sus dedos pulgares!

She is wearing a very beautiful swimsuit. It is mint green and decorated with a print in light purple and a tie of the same color with white polka dots.

As an accessory for the beach, she has a float Whale-shaped in two shades of mauve. Ah! And his feet are very funny. I love her thumbs!

A la izquierda está Tamika, con su bañador asimétrico confeccionado con sumo detalle. A la derecha está Kira, con su bañador que debería ser de corte simétrico pero que está mal cortado, mal cosido y da pena verlo.

Creo que no es necesario ser modista para darse cuenta de algo que salta a simple vista. Hasta un niño  pequeño ve que su bañador está confeccionado con poca tela y mucha prisa. Ya sé que hoy en día el control de calidad lo tenemos que realizar los clientes, pero no esperaba encontrar un defecto tan visible en un producto de Mattel.

I think that it is not necessary to be fashion designer to realize something that jumps at a glance. Even a small child sees that her swimsuit is made with little fabric and great hurry. I know that nowadays customers have to do the quality control, but did not expect to find a so visible defect in a doll manufactured by Mattel.

Visto por detrás, el bañador de Kira también se ve defectuoso. Lo que más me irrita es que ahora yo tengo una muñequita preciosa con un bañador horrible.

Sé que El Corte Inglés me la recoge y me devuelve el dinero sin problemas pero no la he comprado para quedarme sin ella. Soy coleccionista y quiero tener a Kira. Puedo entender que la perfección no existe, pero eso es una cosa y otra muy diferente quedarme con un bañador que está lleno de fallos. ¡Si casi me sangran los ojos cada vez que lo veo!

No sé que hacer. Mi chico dice que me la quede como está. ¡Casi me quedo prepleja cuando me dio su opinión! Pero os explico las razones, positivas y negativas, que hemos encontrado entre los dos para devolverla o para quedármela como está:

Otras razones a tener en cuenta

Además de todo lo dicho anteriormente, mi chico y yo hemos tenido en cuenta que otras razones. Por ejemplo, al llevar a Kira al El Corte Inglés de aquí les ocasiono un daño. Esto es lógico ya que la muñeca está fuera de su caja y tiene un bañador defectuoso.

Pero claro, no es mi problema. Es responsabilidad de Mattel y le corresponde al Corte Inglés reclamarle a su distribuidor y éste a Mattel.

Pero todavía hay otra razón. Si tienen alguna Kira nueva ¿qué hago? ¿Les pido que abran la caja allí para comprobar que no tiene defectos? ¿Cuántas Kiras es razonable que compre y devuelva o que directamente les pida que las revisen en la tienda? Mi Kira tiene el bañador lleno de defectos y yo ni me había enterado hasta que la liberé de las sujeciones de plástico. Esto podría suceder de nuevo.

Lo que más me confunde de todo este tema es que evitar algo como esto es muy sencillo. Se llama control de calidad en origen, en la fábrica. Pero hoy en día lo que está de moda es que sea el cliente quien realiza el control de calidad cuando elige el producto en la tienda o en su casa.

¿Y a que se debe que esto sea así? Muy sencillo, es más barato fabricar con peor calidad y revisar menos. A los accionistas les gustan los beneficios pero odian los gastos. Y los compradores también queremos que los productos sean más baratas. Ya lo dice el refrán "bueno, bonito y barato".

Para mi ha sido una experiencia muy decepcionante. Tras la alegría inicial de creer que tenía a Kira en mi colección, me he dado cuenta de que según la opción que elija ahora, los mareos que esté dispuesta a sufrir y la suerte que tenga... al final puede ser que:

+ tenga una Kira nueva perfecta

+ tenga mi Kira con su bañador defectuoso

- no tenga ninguna Kira pero recupere mi dinero

Other reasons to consider

In addition to everything said above, my guy and I have taken into account that other reasons. For example, if I return Kira to the El Corte Inglés that action causes them losses. This is logical since the doll is out of her box and has a faulty suit.

But of course, it is not my problem. It is the responsibility of Mattel and corresponds to El Corte Inglés claim to their dealer and to Mattel.

But there is still another reason. If they have any new Kira doll, then what? Do I ask they to open the box in the store to verify that the new Kira is free from defects? How much Kiras is reasonable that I purchase, and return or to directly ask them to review the dolls at the store? My Kira has her bathing suit full of defects and I didn't realize until I let loose her from the plastic holders. It could be repeated again.

What I most confused of this whole subject is to avoid something like this is very simple. Quality control in origin, in the factory is called. But nowadays fashion is that it is the client who performs quality control when you choose the product in the store or at home.

And why this is so? Very simple, it's cheaper manufacture with worse quality and check less. Like the benefits to shareholders but they hate expenses. And buyers also want things to be cheaper.

For me has been a very disappointing experience. After the initial joy to believe that I had Kira in my collection, I have come to realize that depending on the option chosen now, on how many dizziness I willing to suffer and depending on my luck... at the end it could happend that:

+ I'll have a perfect new Kira

+ I'll have my Kira with her defective swimsuit

- I will not have any Kira but will recover my money

Y en cualquier caso la decepción vivida no me la quita nadie de encima. La confianza es frágil y por mucho que yo pueda confiar en la garantía de satisfacción del cliente de El Corte Inglés, Mattel está bajando su listón de calidad en todas sus líneas de muñecas.

Las nuevas muñecas chelseas no me gustan. No es que sean feas. Algunas son muy hermosas, pero todas tienen la ropa pintada y el torso con forma de camiseta ¡qué horror!

Por esta razón quiero tener a Kira en mi colección, tal vez incluso con su bañador torcido y de talla casi imposible.

Por favor Mattel, tengan en cuenta que los detalles y la calidad para un coleccionista son importantes. Tal vez para una niña pequeña no, pero cada vez somos más las "niñas grandes" que queremos muñecas de la Play Line en nuestra colección. Y con las nuevas caras de las Fashionistas han acertado, por favor no nos decepcionen con las hermanas de barbie ¡también las queremos!

Y por ahora eso es todo, espero que mi experiencia os ayude a elegir mejor y os evite pasar un mal rato. Me encantan las barbies y pienso seguir coleccionándolas, aunque cada vez las miro con más cuidado y me lo pienso mucho más antes de comprar.

Hoy os agradezco especialmente vuestros comentarios con consejos y experiencias similares, porque estoy llena de dudas y no sé que hacer con Kira. Por ahora me contengo las ganas de hacerle unas fotos en la piscina, puesto que no me parece correcto si finalmente la devuelvo.

Mattel, please note that details and quality for a collector are important. Maybe not for a little girl, but we are more and more 'big girls' that we want the Play Line dolls in our collection. And with the new Fashionistas' faces have been successful, please do not us down with the sisters of Barbie ¡we love them too!
